As an ideal alternative material for 2024 aluminum bar, 6013 alloy aluminum bar is applied to the beam, chassis, structural frame of automobile, and the skin, wing, reinforcement and other structural materials of aircraft. Generally, the extruded products need to be quenched online or offline to make the alloy elements solid soluble in the matrix, forming supersaturated solid solution, and then precipitate and disperse during aging process, so as to ensure the strength of the products meet the requirements.
However, in practice, there is often a contradiction problem, that is, when the maximum strength is sought, the temperature of the outlet should be raised as much as possible, and then quenched after reaching 530-560 ℃. But the result is that the profile is easy to drag and tear, the extrusion efficiency is low, and the dimension precision is difficult to guarantee. In order to ensure the accuracy and surface quality of the profile, it is necessary to cool down properly, but the result of cooling is the instability of alloy properties. For the extrusion of 6013 alloy aluminum bar and other cemented carbide, because of the high degree of alloying, high alloy strength and relatively difficult extrusion, how to control the extrusion temperature reasonably and improve the extrusion efficiency has become a difficult problem for enterprises.
In extrusion production, there are two ways to heat the casting rod, one is multi bar furnace heating and the other is single bar furnace heating. The multi bar furnace heating can meet the requirements of high-speed extrusion on production capacity. The permeability of aluminum bar heating is higher, and it also has the function of homogenization and solid solution treatment for aluminum rod. The single bar furnace can be heated in sections and operated flexibly. However, the surface temperature of aluminum rod is deviated from the temperature of the center when heated, and it is required that the cast rod can be used only after homogenization treatment, so as to facilitate the smooth extrusion.
In this experiment, the same homogenization process was used for the cast rod, i.e. 540 ℃ /2 h+570 ℃ /12 h, which made the bar fully uniform. For heat treatment reinforced alloy, the degree of solid solution means the strength of the alloy after aging, while the degree of solid solution is mainly related to the temperature and the holding time of heating, and the difficulty of extrusion is related to the composition and uniformity of the alloy. Because of the high strength of 6013 alloy aluminum bar, in order to ensure smooth extrusion, multi bar furnace is selected for heating.
